The newly elected leadership of the Reusable Pallet & Container Coalition (RPCC) has called for initiatives that will provide information and data on the economic and environmental benefits of reusable transport packaging. While affirming its message of reuse, regardless of material, and its long-range strategies, the

coalition will focus on its members' and the industry's most pressing "in-box" issues.

The coalition advocates reusable transport packaging as a way to reduce the volume of the waste stream and improve the systemwide productivity of industries employing these products and services. The RPCC advocates the integration and  expansion of reusable systems through key information-gathering and data collection, partnerships with private, public and governmental entities, standards and guidelines, best practices, education and public awareness. It also promotes legislative  and regulatory activities to support the industry.

Members of the RPCC Board are: president, David Russell, IFCO Systems; vice president, David Rodgers, Hays Container Services; secretary/ treasurer, Michael Fechter, Tosca Ltd.; directors: Matt Assenmacher, Chep; Eric Frank, Georgia-Pacific,  and Eric Frederickson, IPL Products Ltd.; and immediate past president (assumed position), Allan Wasserman, Orbis Corp.
