SENSORS GUIDE DIFFICULT MATERIAL

The SE-38 First*Edge is a threshold-based edge scan sensor that eliminates the effect of opacity variations in non-woven material. It detects the first edge of a web and then ignores subsequent material voids and porosity. The Q60 Adjustable-Field sensor features a mechanically adjustable sensing cutoff point. They detect objects with relatively low reflectivity while ignoring background objects.
